New owners have missed the mark quickly on the concept of community. It is that "community" that allowed this pub to flourish over the last 20 years. The fact they chose to alienate this community is reflected by the lack of cards in the parking lot. The food portions are small and overpriced. The wine prices went through the roof. When I asked about how secure my credit card was when I was asked to leave it to run a tab, the response I got from one of the owners was "you can always cash and carry". Well, he is right. Or I could always just not come back. It is a fair question to ask in these days of identity theft. I have not been back once since this interaction. I only have so much disposable income and I would like to be treated with respect when I spend it. The new Red Lion has failed miserably. I hope they soon see the value of the community of regulars that have been going there for years.

The only place worth frequenting when I'm in Belleville, imo! Great staff, excellent beer selection & good food at a good price. Can't wait to go back. Cheers!
